Artist's Description

Tavistock canal was built to link Tavistock with Morwellham Quay on the River Tamar and provided a cargo link from the town to the river. The canal is used today to supply water to a hydro-elecric plant at Morwellham Quay. This image was taken on a sunny day in winter when the clear blue sky was reflected in the water along with the shadows of the trees.
